My next playthrough is going to be RP'ing a band of goblin hunters. My goal will be to focus on hunting and killing goblins, and will end with the destruction of the Goblin City. What are your suggestions for starting team, perks, strategies, and weapons to focus on? My thoughts so far:
- Maybe peasant militia start to have 16 brothers on the field, to avoid having half my team entangled/netted at any given time? Poachers or Oath Takers might be a good RP choice.
- I've never taken Anticipation on a bro, might be a good idea because I hate getting peppered by goblin archers. Does it really suck that bad tho?
- I do plan on adding points to RDef for all my bros (part of their goblin-hunter training).
- A mobile squad would help in getting into melee asap. Pathfinder and Adrenaline as standard perks for all bros?
- No survivors if at all possible so I don't want to lean too much into Fearsome/morale breaking. I want them dead, not fled.
- Dogs. Lots of dogs to chase down any who do flee.
- Swords, cleavers, and spears mainly since they don't wear much armor (also an RP choice).
- No tanks. We will be a mobile and agile squad that can quickly reach and kill the archers and shamans.
Early game we'll do normal contracts/bandits but once the Greenskin Invasion starts, its Goblins only (maybe Orcs) unless we're broke and need to take a contract to pay the bills (or hear rumors of a legendary item from a tavern keeper).
Any other ideas or feedback are welcome. It won't be the BEST team, but hopefully it will be the BEST team for fighting goblins! If you happen to have a map seed that would work for this, it would be greatly appreciated (not sure what that map would look like, but ya never know). Thanks!
