Who is Barbara Gordon? In every iteration, there are some constant personality traits: super intelligent, photographic memory, bookish librarian, etc. Nothing wrong with changing her career but whoever this was is unrecognisable to me. And I’m not including the race change for no apparent reason except to be edgy/inclusive.
Catwoman’s skill set? You create a backstory where she is now a spoiled lazy rich girl and yet she has a master thief skill set that appeared out of thin air.
Why such a douche to “Pennyworth”? This has to be my biggest complaint by far of the series. Alfred is still a father figure to Bruce and it seems like he’s done everything asked of them; yet, still Bruce craps on him like hired help and not the ally/father figure he is.
Honorable Mentions: -The scripts are nowhere near as well fleshed out as TAS -The animation while understandably an homage to TAS is not as fluid as TAS -The orphans Dickie, Jase, Stephie, Carrie… not a fan of the Robins nest having a shared background. -While I appreciate the attempted homage to Kevin Conroy’s voice/vocal choices, it often comes across as a bad, pale imitation rather than forming a new distinct voice choice.
