Right hand dominant playing left handed? Opinions needed

I. Am very new to bass, I recently purchased an Ibanez 4 string to start with and I noticed that I have very inadequate reach with my left hand fingers for the frets. I was comparing between my left and right hand, and I have significantly more strength, reach, and coordination with my right hand. Has anyone ever had experience with being right hand dominant and learning bass guitar left handed? I don’t want to start off my journey with bad habits so I am open to any advice
