Can I use this old dj cabinet as a bass guitar cabinet?

Post Body

My uncle used this cabinet - 40 years ago for his dj rig. These have been gathering dust in my grandparents' attic for years now. Now that I am looking to buy a new bass amplifier I had the idea to first take a look at these boxes to see if I could use them. After taking the back off of them (see picture) I saw a - 40 cm (15 inch) large woofer. It also has 2 tweeters, but I think they could easily be taken out. The input is a normal jack. Now my question is, what is stopping me from buying an amp and connecting it to this cabinet? Most bass cabinets these days also have a 15 inch speaker? I measured the resistance and it measured 7 ohms, Is that possible? Thanks!
