I know this is more generic towards music in general but I only play bass currently and I am trying to learn guitar and music production on the side. I'm just curious as to what are the best ways to make money as a musician. But realistic ways for people that aren't famous or have degrees etc. I'm not asking for easiest ways either though. I just want to know if I should keep learning music as a hobby or if there are possible "careers" that are attainable/accessible as a musician. I mainly ask because I'm 30 now and I just started learning bass and music 2 years ago and I've yet to find a career I'm passionate about. But ever since I picked up music it's become a daily hobby and I haven't had the drive to improve this much at it with any other careers or hobbies. I just wanna make sure I don't delude myself into thinking it can be my future career if there's nothing worthwhile to shoot for at this point in my life.
