Hi!
So, to sum up a bit: I used to play guitar for a while, self taught room guitarist kinda player. Never cared about theory because I enjoyed playing alone but recently I discovered how pleasant it is to play with other people or with back up tracks. And playing bass has really made me wanna be a real musician.
Now, I follow few courses online and have a teacher but I can't say it's enough. The teacher is for advanced students but it doesn't really feel like it.
I'm trying to learn rythme (real pain in the (b)ass for me because I just have trouble counting, foot tapping and listening to the drums while playing)
I gotta play two jazz tunes in a week and feel totally lost when they start talking about chords, arpeggios....
So please, if you had to bring up precise steps in learning theory: what should I begin with, how do I practice with a metronome, is there anything I absolutely need to know in my theory learning?
Any advice would be the most welcome!
Thanks in advance.
