So this is going into stuff that's is beyond me so I'm relying on you guys for some help here. I have always been a purist when it comes to my live sound. I am currently running a double pick up string ray through a rumble 500 and it sounds really good but to get the actual tone I want i feel like I'm pushing to much signal at times for the rumble it kind of spooks me and it still is just short of where i really want to be on the live sound.
My band is about to release our ep and and while in the studio I have perfected the bass tone I have wanted out of my set up it has a smooth deep lows but with a hint of bright attack on the high end and sounds really mean without being distorted.
I want to be able to duplicate this live but I can not find a way to do it just right between the bass pre amp and the amplifier settings its self. What I am thinking I need to do is get some sort of processor or pedal that can expand my options possibly even be able to split the frequency. I dont want to spend a ridiculous amount of money to do this tho and would prefer to do this with a stomp box vs a rack set up.
I am fairly certain I could get what I want with an hx stomp from my research but they are extremely expensive and I would honestly change rigs before I spent that kind of money on a pedal. Does anyone have any ideas on options that would help me get where I am trying to go here.
I hope I made sense with all this but the world of bass pedals and effects is somewhere I have never gone I have a pedal board and some experience with my guitars but I just have always preferred to keep bass simple and pure but I have found that tone the only and only end all be all for me and I have to find a way to get this sound live.
