This is crossposted from /r/BedroomBands. I've not yet gotten a complete bassline down for this song, though there is one guy that had interesting ideas in a rough draft but haven't heard back from him since. Anycase, the song is an open ended sandbox playground for a bassist, so don't be shy and have fun! Also, to be upfront I cannot pay. I'm a struggling janitor by daytime, you know how that goes.

You'll find two versions. The old demo for a feel of the music. The new in progress recording we'll actually be working with.
The song just switches from E to D7 endlessly, interest is built by things coming and going in the arrangement. As far as bass goes, it needs to be throughout the piece. I keep saying it; it's pretty much a sandbox for you. My only guidelines are: simpler is probably better, build intensity or complexity gradually, have fun, and *don't be afraid to break something*.
Right now all I'm asking are some down and dirty demos of what you have in mind played along to the mp3. No need for great production values or polished performances yet. Have fun. Hit me up by message. We can bounce ideas back and forth, and when it's well crafted then we can worry about production values and mic positions and all that fun stuff.
I'm looking forward to working with people here. My inbox is always open!
