Painting ON your bass

As a nod to a friend at an upcoming show I wanted to paint a small piece of prose across the top half of my bass, just on top of the coat and then removed the next morning. I don't want to destroy my bass' finish but I want to make it visible enough to see from the audience - So Bassit any suggestions on what kind of paint I could use, or maybe a substitute of something I could use to write with that won't leave any damage and is easy to remove?
