dear /r/bass and fellow musicians,

i've been sitting around lurking in this subreddit for a long while, mostly ogling gear and searching for helpful tips that would help out my solo guitar ability.

after a while, i started to want to pick up a bass, and i've recently acquired a 79 peavy t-40. and...

holy shit guys. the bottom end is so much fun. from the inspiration i've accumulated from hanging around here, i've been opened up to a whole new world i wasn't really familiar with. getting intimate with the real rhythm and the real foundation of the music, and it. is. incredible.

thank you so much, for helping me to get that much closer to an instrument that i appreciated, but never really fully knew. i feel like thats what this subreddit is really all about.
