So years ago when I was taught bass, my teacher taught me how to do it with a pick, at the time I wasn’t very knowledgeable and figured that was just the way it was done. But it didn’t take me long to realize I was one of the few people that use a pick to play bass as opposed to using my fingers. That was over 5 years ago, and I’ve tried to teach myself how to play with my fingers, but my muscles are so used to picking my bass that I have a really hard time getting used to it. Anyone have any good tips on how to learn fingerpicking on bass for someone who’s used to using a pick?
