Set point above head on jump shot

I like MJ's high set point. When I'm not jumping, my set point is around the top front half of my head/ not forehead. I know that when you shoot far, your arms automatically compensate so set point is lower. My regular jump shot, the ball leaves around forehead area. How can I get my set point above my head on a jump shot though? What is the sequence to get the high set point on jump shots like Kobe or MJ?
