I play in a league with my uncles and older family friends. Whenever I’m open they tell me to shoot even though I want to drive because I’m better at driving. When I have the ball they want me to pass. And when I pass and I turn it over they tell me to not pass and shoot.
It’s pretty annoying having them basically control my game since mine is different. It’s more annoying when they tell me to do one thing and when I do it, they complain at me if it’s wrong. It’s this constant back and forth of telling me to do something and then to not do something.
Obviously I should I block their comments out, but it’s hard too when I seek their approval since I’m sorta new to their runs and they’re my uncles.
How do I figure out when to pass/shoot/drive and when to listen to them and when to block them out?
