I’m probably not the only one whose experienced this, but recently I, a young adult, played a pick up game with kids in high school and every time I went to shoot one older teen would make shrieking noises as loud as possible right as I shoot to try to make me miss. It worked sometimes, and not other times, but it unsurprisingly made the game way less enjoyable since instead of playing defense the teen would just scream weird female moaning or high pitch sounds whenever I shot.
I’m curious if anyone has had similar types of experiences and how y’all handled it. I just started trash talking back but then the teen started threatening to stab or attack me to act tough in front of his friends. Nothing ended up happening and I know some players do like yelling when an opponent is shooting but personally I think it ruins much of the experience as is a cop out for actually playing defense.
Thoughts on how y’all would handle that situation?
