I started thinking about the season 1 joke of the Chechen assassin that the Chechens were so excited to meet and he ends being a very old man and [Spoiler] he shoots himself because of how much death he has seen. I remember thinking when he said he is 48 or something but looks like heβs in his 60s-70s and got a good chuckle. It felt like a good punchline. But after these last two seasons i feel like it was a foreshadowing. Looking at Barry withering away by the attempts on his life, the stress of having to tie loose ends and definitely the weight of guilt from his sizable kill count and lack of hesitation to shoot someone, he looks like shit. He is slowly becoming that Chechen assassins that was one off character but had so much depth in the long run. I can easily see Barry switched in his place. I love this fucking show.
