Going for my consultation and I’m scared af!
Post Body

So I’m going to see a surgeon tomorrow to get this process started. I’m pretty obese hence the need for the surgery. My self confidence is pretty low and I’m scared that the doctor will judge me and look down on me for letting my weight get so out of hand. What have you guys experienced in your first meeting? Am I just being silly?

Update! Good morning my new Reddit family! First off thank you all for sending me out there with the confidence that it will all be ok. It turned out better than expected! The doctor was very nice. Came in and got right down to business. Asked what I wanted and how I wanted it done, completely agreed on the method I wanted and sent me on my way to start scheduling. Im sorry I didn’t update yesterday I was just in shock! Everything went beautifully and im on my way to starting a new chapter in my life. Thank you all again for the love and support! I’m sure I’ll be posting more as I go along, hopefully more positive updates. Now that I know I have this sub for support during this journey I feel even better! Best of luck to all of you as well no matter what part you are up to on your journeys!
