Post op disordered eating?
Post Body

Trigger: eating disorders

Has anyone without previous disordered eating relating to counting calories, etc. suddenly develop that kind of obsession after surgery? I’ve never counted calories and have never had bulimia or anorexia... the opposite kind of disordered eating. So I hope I don’t, but want to keep cognizant of possibilities.

For clarity: I have ocd, mostly related to laundry and dishwasher protocols. My compulsive eating mostly comes in the form of fog eating. Even when I was dieting before, I never focused on the quantity of food - just the quality/healthfulness of it. I have 2 therapists whom I’m working on various struggles of my ocd/anxiety/depression with... but wanted to be aware as I go into this process that I keep mindful if needed on obsessive calorie or macro counting.
