Adding this to the millions of Roque and Xavi vs the board posts because Iām tired of seeing the same news recycled over and over but I just want to provide a different perspective. So hereās the timeline; Roque comes in January and aside from a few casuals itās pretty widely accepted that this is more just to integrate him in the team, fast forward to a few weeks ago where Xavi confirms heās staying, then fast forward to a few days after the fact and the media seems to be very interested in Roque not playing, which was never a problem until Xavi confirmed he was continuing. Then Roques agent Andre Cury (who has a pretty interesting history with Barcelona https://www.reddit.com/r/Barca/s/RHXMoU87Bq ) comes out and says Xavi isnāt even talking to Roque and stirs the pot a little more. Now we reach a point where Xavi simply talks about the situation in a realistic tone and āthe board wants him sackedā. If youāre a fan of this club you know that there has been and still is an undeniable media bias against Barcelona, weāre a Catalan club who are the rivals of the Spanish capital team the media will do everything they can to make it harder to progress. There was no āRoque situationā when Xavi said he was leaving and the whole board was supposedly begging him to stay. I have a feeling this current situation between Xavi and the board isnāt half as bad as itās made out to be, simply more stirring of the pot to make things more difficult just like they always do.
