Im opening my own barbershop. It will be 800 Sq Ft. I am providing everything for any barber that chooses to do commission or booth rent. (towels, washing, drying, hot shaving cream, wax, hot towels, face steamer, facial products, back bar) I will also have products for renters to sell (40/60 commission for products) The only thing I wont be providing is their tools. I will even be providing a bar and free alcohol and non alcoholic drinks per service. The max amount of chairs I can fit is 6 but 5 would be the sweet spot. I am a barber and really have no intent of getting "rich" off of my booth renter/commission workers. My bottom line goal eventually is for the booth rent to cover over head costs so I can keep my earning and put them back into the business. My weekly booth rent will be about $150
I am also going to be giving my barbers 1 free week a year so they can take a vacation (or whatever) without them having to worry. I am also going to give new booth renters half off for their 1st month. With that being said I would like to have a contact of expectations. Not to limit barbers but so that everyone is on the same page.
Is this a crazy idea? Please give me your feedback. Thoughts, comments and concerns. Y'all are my sounding board.
