Creative Solutions Post Covid
Post Body

So obviously we’ve all been affected directly by the Covid Pandemic, and regardless of our political positions on the Pandemic we are going to see the impact of it for at least the next year if not much longer. How can we supplement the reduction of business from fear and mandated capacities?

Some of my ideas.

For cities and municipalities that have allowed carry-out alcohol during the shut down. Keep that going until after a vaccination has been implemented. Sure we’d rather have customers able to safely spend an evening with us, but maybe we can send them with Togo package goods or premade cocktails to enjoy at home in the meantime.

Creative merch. You may not have had much or any merch before, but now is a good time to start selling some tangibles.

Drinks for the staff/Beers for the kitchen/Drinks for the House. A way to allow your regulars to show their appreciation for their local.

Gift cards/Certificates.

Mug clubs. Sure you aren’t a brewery, but who cares. Down the road when things open back up those people will keep on coming.

Lobby your municipality to relax the laws on public drinking. Sure it’s a stretch, not everywhere wants a Bourbon or Beale Street, but maybe in light of the situation there is some sort of compromise.

Pay it forward. Buy a drink for a buddy who isn’t here. You used to buy em a round, why not now? They’ll get it when they next come in.

What ideas do you all have? Doesn’t matter if it’s even possible or viable. We’re just spitballing here. All ideas are welcome.
