Specific to South Carolina I believe but is anyone here had to deal with the monstrous insurance hikes?
If something does not change 40 to 50% percent of bars could be closed in the next 2 years
For anyone in SC. There is a new company. The Ragnar Group. (I do not work for this company. I work in restaurant bar and real estate development). I know they have been gathering data to try to start their own insurance company and I believe they have the go ahead.

I have no idea how legitimate this company is but they are the only ones I have heard of trying to do something new. Might be worth checking out.
Whatโs not in these articles is that the risk assessment factors are very arbitrary and ridiculous. 1. Pool tables 2. Golden Tee 3. DJ or Live Music and any number of other weird things.
Also, these insurance raises are usually in the neighborhood of 200 to 300 %.
