How long have we been able to "target" an enemy to focus on them with mouse wheel click?

Just today I clicked the old scroll wheel and instantly focused in on the Buccelleri I was chasing, so my camera stayed centered on him and my character rotated etc. I hope this was a recent patch but I can't see it in the notes, am I just discovering something?
