Is better credit after bankruptcy possible?
Post Body

Hi I'm trying to convince my brother who lives in my house and is driving my second car after his was repossessed, that he needs to declare bankruptcy to get out of his debt and have a fresh start. He has no assets and plenty of debt over 50k and is not working much more than 3 days a week.

I believe that one can declare bankruptcy get a fresh start and get a better credit score faster after bankruptcy (starting fresh) instead of just him getting a second job and starting to pay of his debt. He's terrified to declare bankruptcy thinking it will stop his entire future and he will never be able to recover from it or get a job or a loan. I tell him he can have good credit faster after bankruptcy instead of trying to fix the mess he got himself into.
