Looking for factual law for bankruptcy in Michigan

Post Body

I filled on November 9th, in the state of Michigan. At the time I claimed all my assets which where very few. It is now November 30th and I have acquired a newer vehicle from my mother who got the vehicle via the tragic loss of my grampy. She said he wanted me to have the car and that she would sell it to me for a dollar to gather the bill of sale. My attorney says that since we filled already what was mine on the 9th is what they will be concerned with. That transferring the car to my ownership should not be a problem. I want to make sure that the car will not be subject to liquidation because that would be devastating in many ways. So is the car safe from chapter 7 liquidation or should I leave it in her name until discharge?

Thank you
