I can't tell you how much of a sigh of relief I was able to exhale afterwards. I'm working on the paperwork and docs so I can file next week, and although we may be slightly over the Median Income line, he thinks we have enough deductions and expenses to still qualify for the Ch. 7. Who would have thought that past due taxes would actually benefit me for a change, at least in this case. It is going to be a relief to get these pay day and online installment loans off my back once and for all. I'm definitely not out of the woods yet and I won't feel better until he declares with 100% certainty that we qualify for a Ch 7, but speaking to the actual attorney was the hardest step for me, and I finally cleared that hurdle last night.
The main theme of my post is, if you are considering BK, but think you wouldn't qualify for a Ch 7 because of your income, speak to an attorney before you disqualify yourself, you just never know. Have a great day out there everyone!
