So I bank with Bank of America and on my deposit slips, there's a section for "TOTAL ITEMS", which I assumed meant counting any cash as 1 item, and and number of checks as that many items. I deposited some Cash 10 checks today, and so I put 11 total items. But the teller said that it should be 10 instead (because allegedly cash doesn't count?) and so he changed the 11 to a 10 on the deposit slip. That didn't seem right to me, so I'm wondering what you guys think. Will it affect the process at all of my deposit? Was he right?
