My family is selling my grandparents home. I'm getting a small cut from being a caregiver for the last decade.
I'm using half to pay off my debts I incurred while taking care of them, which will leave me about 15k.
I'd like to use this cash to build something, I'm 40, single, self employed, enough to take care of myself. I don't have much in saving due to covid and the last few years of my grandmother basically needing round the clock care, so I'm looking to use this cash to build up something.
I'm midly fluent with finance but I'm trying ti figure out what I can do to build up this nugget I'm getting.
Im in California, so I have options of banks.
Any advice would help.
