I started my banking career with a mid sized CU (3B in assets), I learned the business and worked there for almost 8 yrs.
Then a bigg(ish) bank came to town and hired every banker with an open resume on indeed. I was a branch manager for the CU at that point and the opportunity for a better salary and way less responsibility came along...
After working both sides so to speak, I don't know why any regular person would bank with a big bank
Now, if you have actusl money and want to make actual interest on a MM or CD, the bank is the better option. But for us regular wage slaves, I say CU all the way.
Anyone agree?
