Not the same bank! That's usually the same day but between two separate banks. It takes almost 4 days to send money to someone. And don't suggest Zelle or a cash app. This is about US banks. Truist to BoA takes four days to move money and that's just insane for 2023.
I have a foreign bank account and I can send money to someone almost instantly regardless of where they bank (within the same country). But US banks seem to hold onto money for whatever reason or they're in cahoots with Zelle or Venmo or both.
