Post Body

Hello all,

I am in search of a HYSA to bulk the bulk of my money into, but I will still need a typical checking account as well. I am thinking of having a separate bulk savings (was thinking CIT) to keep my potential taxation funds in, while still having a personal checking and personal savings (which includes my emergency fund). I DO NOT receive any direct deposits as my work is strictly commission and I receive checks whenever I choose to get paid. I was watching a video on YouTube talking about SoFi vs Ally and there's either a fee (SoFi) or impossible (Ally) to deposit cash. I didn't hear anything about checks. I have two roommates so I receive cash as well (for bills I pay) quite frequently.

I currently bank with Wells Fargo and receive nothing in yield from any of my accounts, so I am looking to close that account permanently and move all money elsewhere. Looking for advice / recommendations. Please let me know if you need any additional information as well. TYIA <3
