Post Body

So a bit of back story to keep it short, I have known both guys for 20 years, since high-school, one is a friend, the other is his friend but not mine. So my friend and his wife had a child 3 years ago, and covid restrictions just let up a month ago, so he invited some friends, my wife and I over for a BBQ. It's to the point I don't even have to ask anymore, my friend just expects my dogs are coming if I am, but I still asked anyway, because of covid and I haven't seen them in 2 years in person. Of course they are invited he says. So we got there early, to let the dogs run around and calm down a bit before everyone else came, in which his buddy (chris) shows up. Chris is visually, immediately upset. I'm not asking, because I simply do not care. Well, he decides to sit at the same table as me and proceed to ask why I was aloud to bring my 3 dogs and he wasn't aloud to bring his ONE dog. I said, oh. I didn't know you had a dog now, what is it? Wait, let me guess. A pitbull? He responded, yes. How did you know? I honestly didn't know, but knowing this guy this long, it was an easy guess. So I respond back, saying he should ask our friend, you know, the guy that invited us over, not me. Well he does just that. Storms over to him at the BBQ in a huff, and demands to know why he HAD to find a dog sitter, which he made sure we knew how hard it was to get one for a pitbull, yet mine are running around care free. My friend simply looks at him and says "I have a 3 year old daughter, she knows those dogs since she was born. You have a RESCUE dog, that you have owned for less than a month. YOU don't even know how that dog will react in this environment" and now comes the cries of how wonderful this dog is, and she wouldn't hurt a fly, blah blah blah, I'm sure you've heard them all already.... my friend states the same thing again to him, and says if you don't like it, leave. So he does. Storms out of the yard like someone just stole his football and leaves. Well... unfortunately in all of this, turns out his dog will hurt more than a fly. After going to get his dog from the sitter, he is told he is never allowed to bring that dog by again because it busted through 2 doors of their home to get to another dog that was being kept by itself and mangled it up pretty bad before they could stop the attack. So when people day it's the owner, not the breed, I laugh. It IS the owner AND the breed. Only shitty people want a shitty breed of dog.
