Off leash pit bull in my uncle’s neighborhood

Post Body

My uncle was walking his golden retriever when an off leash pit bull approached. My uncle saw the owner walking towards them in the distance and my uncle yelled “he’s not going to attack my dog, is he?”

The owner yelled back no. As the pit approached, my uncle noticed he was a young pit, maybe less than a year old. Everything was fine and he did not attack my uncle’s golden retriever. Wondering if being young had anything to do with it.

The owner and my uncle talked, and my uncle told him a story about a time he was almost attacked by a pit bull, so he’s scared of them. Basically, my uncle visited a co worker and they had a blue nose pit who charged him, and his co worker’s wife had to use all her body and strength, jumping on the pit to keep it from attacking my uncle. He said it was a horribly scary experience.

So my uncle tells this guy the story and he says he’s 100% sure the pit would not have attacked my uncle. His reasoning? Apparently, blue nose pits are the sweetest and most friendly. 🤣

I told my uncle that’s what we call a pit nutter. We laughed about it.

Also, I really hope this owner doesn’t continue to allow his pit bull to run in his neighborhood off a leash…

Yeah, that’s what I’m thinking as well. Here we go….

EXACTLY. Boom.

Damn. That’s terrible. I’m not surprised, though. Then you have idiots who bash the owner for putting the dog down.

LITERALLY!!! It makes me so mad because it lacks all logic and common sense!

Yeah, and I’m going to worry about my uncle and his dog as time goes on because of that. I also told my uncle it’s ridiculous how it’s almost always a pit off leash. It’s like they’re trying to prove their dog is trustworthy or something. They’re not, but they want it to be the reality so bad.
