I'm so frustrated and angry right now.

Before it turns dark, my cat and myself like sitting on our porch. He just chills, old man that loves his naps, while I have a smoke.

We live in a gated community, he's too old and slow to go far, he sleeps in the sun next to our garage some days, but usually on the porch during the day and inside at night. He used to be my travel buddy before he got old and I felt changing his scenery on the regular wasn't the best for him.

Two young kids came by walking what looked very much like a young pitbull that went for my cat. The dog had to be physically restrained, lifted and dragged away. They barely managed, while we got our cat inside.

Decided to send a message on our group, asking for parents to make sure their kids could handle the dogs they walk. In a non rude way. Only to be met with an attack as to how it's the cats fault for napping where he does, another person telling me my cat should be indoors at night so it's not the dogs fault.

The incident happened before night time and I was only a few meters away from my cat.

So it's okay for pits to be walked by children who can't contain them and to maul cats or attempt to in this case as long as it's after what they percieve to be nighttime, which is apparently when the sun is up.

I have to wonder if it would've been the same if it was my kid relaxing outside with me. Who even knows. Who let's their children walk a dog they can't control to start with?
