I'm sorry if it's a dumb question,
I've bought the standard A1 printer and I'm very happy with it. Multiple filament printing is not a priority for me and wasn't worth springing for the combo version.
It does seem, tho, that the standard A1 extruder has the 4 inlets to plug in 4 filaments.
Is the combo version just including a very fancy stand to hold 4 spools and 4 tubes instead of 1? Could I just make some makeshift spool holders, grab some extra filament tubes, and plug in 4 spools with all the associated capabilities, and it would work? Or are the multi filament feature somehow locked in a way where you need the combo thingy?
Additional question: I can't seem to find that combo thingy for separate purchase. Is there a way to upgrade to it?
Many thanks for any answer!
