Does anybody else struggle with seasonal depression every winter? I definitely do. Weed helps, but I don't want to be more of a stoner than I already am. I figure actively trying not to gain weight this winter will give me something constructive to focus on. I'm also working on writing a book. (This is my second attempt, so take that with a grain of salt.)
I would love to get to know someone with the goal of forming an emotional and physical bond to help get us through the dark, cold days of winter. If we click, we can be cuddle buddies with no pressure or expectations beyond whatever we're consensually comfortable with. When we emerge on the other side of Spring 2025 (if we can stand each other for that long, of course), we can see how we feel and go from there.
A little about me: I'm a divorced, childless cat dad who lives in a house with two roommates. I'm independent, quiet, patient, and very laid back. (I think of myself as a "Star Trek hippie.") I love music and movies, so much so that I go to concerts and the movie theater regularly. I'm not as much of a talker as I once was, but I can hold my own in a conversation. I'm always reading something. (Currently Dune...for the seventh or eighth time, idk I've lost count.) I've been working in my current field for ten years now and I'm ready to make a career change. The plan is to work with young men as a therapist. I'm a Scorpio, if that matters to you at all.
I value people who are thoughtful, empathetic, and humble. Living some version of an active lifestyle is a plus, because it would a) give us something to do together, and b) help keep me accountable. I don't have any racial preferences; beauty is beauty.
I told myself I wasn't going to make this long, but here we are. If you're still reading and you think I don't sound too boring, feel free to reach out. Tell me something neat about yourself. When's the last time you got dressed up? What's the best movie you've seen this year? Are you now, or have you ever been, affiliated with the Communist Party?!
