It's not easy for me to write what I want concisely. I always feel that the image of the person with whom I want to explore new horizons sits just at the edge of my vision - a fuzzy, unmoving field blurred colors. And the outline of an ideal on-the-side relationship defies description. I can think of it adjectively: hot, understanding, unfiltered, imaginative, but I can't attach anything to a noun! At least not in a direct way. So I'm going to try something more circuitous.

I have friends. You have friends. Your emotional and mental well-being are on solid ground. Mine is too. If you're a like me, though, you ache for something (someone) more, new, strange, maybe hard to read, unpredictable (in a non-threatening way), kink friendly. You are a lawyer, lobbyist, NGO administrator, doctor, civil servant, or some other version of the DC professional - on the outside. On the inside, you are moved by the arts; you know the names of trees or birds or both; you think about being fingered at the movies; you like to go to the farmers' market and buy haphazardly but with great joy; wine loosens everything.

We are not for now, but for later, for when I move to DC this summer. I'm writing to you now because I think that (1) it could take me months of trying to find the right person; (2) I'd like to invest some time getting to know if I really want your mouth I eventually want pressed to mine; (3) I'm slow to trust, so I need a long lead time; (4) I don't always have time to write posts, but I do today, so I'm taking advantage of it.

My basics: tall, slim, attractive, "mature" as the kids say these days. I believe in reading important books in hard copy. Am extensively traveled. Foodie. Music lover and music maker. Strong libido. Politically to the left. Non-religious. Do not want to upset or jeopardize my homelife and will guard that....and yours. I want to find someone to explore with. Physical attraction is important to me. I have my tastes, you have yours. If we chat, we should be upfront early about what we want, and what we don't. Hope that one-in-a-million-you sees this and writes. Oh, if you read this far, one thing I can clearly articulate - something I can almost see, hear, feel, and taste - is what I want is what I want to do to you. Ask me.
