Hello! Hoping for some input from locals or fellow travelers.
10 days/9 nights in the Baltics in June. Flying into VNO (from WAW), driving to Riga and Tallinn, and then a ferry to Helsinki.
The plan is to spend 3 days in each capital. 1 day for exploring the city, 1 day for a side trip outside the city (Trakaj, Yurmala, Lahemaa), and 1 day drive to the next destination with a few stops on the way.
Sounds simple enough, but also kind of repetitive, and we are wondering how we could mix it up a bit, and get some more varied experiences.. Maybe see more of the countryside, maybe relax by the seashore for a day, or something entirely different. We were both born in USSR, left as teenagers in late '80s, and have only been back once in 35 yrs. Would be fun to see some Soviet-memorabilia sites as well, to go back to our childhood. One of us has been to Riga/Jurmala and the other to Tallinn, but both as teens.
No budgetary constraints.
So, given our interests - what would you recommend as an addition/change to our itinerary?
Thanks!
