Shadowheart's special approval stuff bugged

tl;dr: What can possibly cause the wolf memory flashback to never trigger, aside from not getting at least 3 Wolfdream points, and/or are any of those points bugged?

I am nearing the end of act 2 and only now learning from YouTube that Shadowheart is supposed to give you a flashback to her first memory or something like that. I also learned that this is tied to some wolfdream points and further tied to nightsong points and wound flares that influence whether or not she will spare the Nightsong on her own.

I'm upset because I missed out on what looks like a really cool cutscene in the flashback and because now I'll probably have to pass the really hard persuasion check to make her spare the Nightsong. I'm also just really curious if I somehow fucked things up in a non bugged way, or if I'm right that my game is glitched.

So, below I will detail all possible things that could be important, and hopefully a kind soul could tell me what they think of it. I am basing my information off of the BG3 wiki's page for Nightsong points.

Wolfdream points:

  1. I definitely saved Shadowheart on the Nautiloid.

  2. I am pretty sure that I told her Shar worship sounded interesting.

  3. I maybe asked if I could help with her hand. I know that her hand did start flaring up, but I don't remember whether or not I got the special cutscene after it flares up four times. Really, it just comes down to if this point is talking about the same thing as point 3 of Nightsong points, which I don't think I got.

  4. I definitely asked her to tell me more about herself.

  5. I never had any sort of conversation prompt to find out about any suppressed memories.

  6. I definitely gave her the idol of Shar.

  7. I think I stood and watched while her and Lae'zel fought in camp, instead of taking her side - or Lae'zel's, for that matter. Luckily noone died.

This should definitely give me the 3 necessary Wolfdream points and probably even more, but I never got any such cutscene or dialogue or anything at all.

Nightsong points:

  1. I never got any conversation about a flashback, so couldn't have got it.

  2. Again, I never got anything about a flashback, so couldn't have got this either.

  3. This is the big one. I honestly don't remember whether or not I got the cutscene where you make either a DC 10 religion check or DC 12 persuasion check about her wound paining her. It's also slightly plausible my approval was just under 20? I sided with Lae'zel a lot but I don't particularly remember seeing Shadowheart disapprove of a lot of things, and if I understand correctly, under 20 approval is really low, right? I don't think the approval ever got super low, but maybe it did for a short while? Currently the approval says "very good." My inability to say for sure one way or the other is a bit annoying since this point has a disclaimer on it that it can become bugged if a wound flares up outside of conversation. Also, the wiki isn't clear if this prevents further wound flare points from occurring or further Nightsong points from occurring, or both. Either way though, this really shouldn't prevent the wolf cutscene, should it?

  4. I never even thought of giving her, or anyone, the Noblestalk, but now I really want to next playthrough.

  5. I definitely gave her the Night Orchid, meaning I definitely got this point.

  6. Shadowheart never said "I've dreamed of this place. This is my destiny - I must complete the trials." to me, at least I am pretty sure, so I don't think I told her that I will try and help. I did have her activate all three trials, though, which should give me the point, according to the wiki.

All told, I believe I may only have as little as two Nightsong points, since the first two are locked behind her flashback, which I never got. It's also strange that I don't remember the line "I've dreamed of this place. This is my destiny - I must complete the trials," since I don't think there is supposed to be any way of missing this.

Changes to dialogue:

I never got the line where Shadowheart says she has something one her mind, then I make her follow up with saying she is feeling conflicted. I am very sure of never getting this, much more sure than I am of the line from Nightsong point 6. This would make sense however, since I probably only have 2 Nightsong points, and only a maximum of 3 if I got the third point.

So essentially, the main issue here is this: why did I never get the wolf cutscene? When I talk to Shadowheart at camp, all I can do is ask about all that's happened to us, which leads to repeating the same question of how I'm holding up, and the same answer that I am too modest. I can also recruit/dismiss her and leave, of course.
