I was thinking about the relationship mechanics in the game, and thought about how you can romance any possible companion (and even the Emperor, but that's a different story). One thing I thought of... It is a bit surprising that every single companion is potentially bi at minimum - I had this thought because I was wondering if it mattered what gender-related options you chose for your character, and realized that since you can romance every companion either way, it does not. I honestly prefer it this way (because I hate being locked out of content or choices by other choices, if at all avoidable); but it seems like it would have been more natural if at least one character was NOT attracted to you physically, because of the options you chose, and would turn you down with a reason of "I'm just not attracted to you". One thing to note about that is YOU can do that with, at least I'm pretty sure, only the Emperor (essentially reject him because of the Illithid body).
No complaints, by any means, just realized that you can pretty much be successful with any companion just by making the right choices; not locked out by any race or gender choices, or even role/class choices, during character creation. I suppose, if we're making and playing in a fantasy world, why shouldn't it be that your actions and personality are what make all the difference?
