Did patch 6 change Halsin’s reaction to returning to act 1 ?

Since I entered the shadow realm through the underdark, I waited to long to go finish the mountain pass and Halsin leaves if I do. Since I’m still in the shadow lands and patch 6 dropped, I thought I’d try again.

With Halsin in my party, I attempt to head to the mountain pass which starts a dialog with him…….now he says that he will seek out my camp if I return to the shadow lands.

I went to mountain pass for a bit then back to the shadow lands. Took a long rest, looked for him at camp and he’s not there. Does anyone know if the dialog is correct? Thanks in advance!
