How was your Iron Flask opened the first time?

I though I was being smart by opening it in the camp in case it was an explosive or poison. So I went to the far side of the camp where Wither and The Oathbreaker Knight were hanging out before opening it. I wanna say it was a teambuilding exercise but it was mostly The Oathbreaker Knight saving a bunch of idiots from their own stupidity!
