Druids slept on?

I'm genuinely curious as to why so many people would rank Druids in mid-tier. Can't tell you how many tier lists I've seen on the internet where people rank Druids as not being fantastic or bad. In my playthrough, I've torn my way through the game as a Moon Druid with no problem and I'm in Act 2. Now, I've heard from one of my friends who knows a lot about 5e and he says that Larian really nerfed them compared to 5e but I still feel that Druids can really do some damage.
