Anyone know how to fix this Character Creation Bug?

Just downloaded the game and have encountered some glitches. For starters, when entering the main menu the game glitches through the mountains and has a bunch of unloaded textures and models. I had to turn the graphics to medium for the stuff to appear. Then I enter the character creation and the character isn't showing. I had to download a driver update to even play the game but I know my computer can run it. If anyone has any advice please let me know.
