Well I finished the game finally and although the journey through the game was amazing. I can’t help but feel it feels so incomplete the “good” ending is not so good honestly. I mean yeah we saved the world from the netherbrain which is good but we couldn’t really save ourselves .

The Durge Good character is fine he is free from bhaal and in all honestly is probably one of the most powerful and influential persons within the city heck he could just simply replace gortash and might become grand Duke one day.

But the other characters aren’t so lucky.

Good Shadowheart either has to kill her parents or if she saves them she has to live with her incurable wound from Shar while seeking to take care of them in their slow health decline.

Karlach has to go back to Hell and fight for her freedom constantly just in order to stay alive or she explodes into thin air. This makes even less sense considering I killed Raphael she could’ve just gone back to House of Hope and been safe there and would’ve had easy access to getting in and out of Avernus if Zairels ever came looking for her. Also I feel if Raphael had free reign enough to do as he pleased in and out of Avernus without Zariel or another more powerful Devil interfering by operating out of the House of Hope then Karlach with Hopes help and the help of us the ones who killed him could’ve done the same. (Maybe bring Zariel to the negotiation table or something)

Astarion as a good guy wouldn’t have done the ritual so he remains a spawn and has to go back in hiding from the sun. Gale even mentions that we probably won’t see him again.

Gale is stuck with Karsite weave in his body so he’s still a time bomb waiting to blow. I guess he could retrieve the crown and give it to Mystra but that seems ill advised as well (Like why does Mystra want the crown? Why wouldn’t she command Gale to just destroy it). I don’t understand why we weren’t given a chance to have Gale absorb the nether stones or the Karsite crown magic as a permanent solution to stabilizing the Karsite weave on our own, and simultaneously rendering the crown inert.

Vlakiith is still a major problem for Lazeal and Orpheus if either of them survive and if Lazeal doesn’t know about Vlakkiths true nature she tries to ascend and will end up getting eaten by Vlakitth

And Wyll ends up going to Avernus and even if he doesn’t he has to live the remainder of his days as a devil since he wouldn’t kill Karlach.

I can’t really find any other variations of these characters endings that are better. Neccesarily. And after coming so far with everyone it seems they all just now have to go their separate ways again simply for the sake of their own survival. 17,000 variants of endings except the most obvious ones that should’ve been included just aren’t their. Which really discourages me from replaying the game too.
