Feeling guilty for acquiring an item without paying for it

Jahiera needed new armour. A guy was selling some for 2000gp.
I didn't have the cash, but I had lots of stuff.
He ran out of money before I could afford the armour.
I could have left. I could have sold stuff elsewhere.
I beat him to death and just took the stuff.
I still feel guilty about it.
