So, day one of baldurs gate 3's release, me and my 3 friends all got together to play
I became a Githyanki Paladin, and might have missed explationations about how breaking your oath worked, or for that matter, the oath system in general
As we were in the beginnings of act 1, we were clearing our wave through the cave onto the grove town, we found a helpless man laying on the ground. He was currently one hp.
My friend picks up and chucks one of the water barrels and it explodes out and leaves water on the ground, i laugh to myself a little and pick up a water barrel for myself, thinking its the funniest thing ive ever seen holding an entire ass barell in my pocket.
Something came over me however, and I chucked the giant water barrel at the guy.
I thought nothing of it, was gonna laugh when it exploded water on him and say he looked thirsty.
However, the water barrel landed on him, and an immediate fade to cutscene began.
I was confused, but upon talking to the knight, learned about what I had done.
I had killed the poor man with a water barrel, in my act of trying to provide a large amount of water to this dying man, i dealt the final blow.
I broke my oath on our first ever play session.
