So, the ending of the game...

I've seen people complain, but I really want to talk about it because I think more people talking, the louder it is for Larian to listen and comprehend where they wronged.

I deprived myself from using more than 30 tadpoles I had throughout my game, I blocked myself of an amazing set of spells and skills only to discover that means absolutely nothing? You get the same choices and also suffers no consequences for abusing the main plot of the game?!

The last cutscene was so bad, that I cannot think anything else apart that it was bugged. It didn't show everything. This can't be the ending for my 150h save file, surely... right? It's not like the characters I invested so many sleepless nights would just meander torward a weak ass dissolution... right?

That's exactly what happens. "Lets celebrate!" and boom, end credits. It's even worse that I actually figured out that I was missing a cutscene, I did the Shadowheart route and the credits just rolled after the game telling me I was the hero. So, after killing a Goblin camp and saving refugees I get a celebration, but when I save the whole fucking world, I don't? What the fuck?

For some reason Karlach being alive interrupts her cutscene; instead you're greeted with your character Shadowheart stuck in time in a cabin without being able to move. Meanwhile the rest of your party is still in Baldur's Gate, and the NPCs just walk as if nothing just happened (why do they even have an walk animation though?).

Still, an awful conclusion nonetheless. I've seen people say that DOS2 had this problem but here in BG3 is worse, and honestly? That's enough for keeping me out of DOS2 thank you very much. One thing I'd like to talk about is, while in Act 1 the dialogue is spectacular, you can see it falls a bit short on the second one, but nothing worrying. But Jesus... the dialogue options surrounding freeing Orpheus or eating his brain is so fucking stupid. Act 3 fails a lot on the writing, seriously.

The worst part of this is I hate turn-based RPGs, but I decided to try this one out. I was absolutely in love with it. This is by a long mile, my game of the year apart from the ending. I do not know what the fuck happened, but honestly this really makes me uneasy to try other games of this genre.

To have so many hours invested, guarateeing these character would live and would be happy, only to be greeted with nothing is... absurdly disappointing, to say the least. You don't get anything out of a character you like unless you romance them. Shit's absurdly stupid lol.

I don't need the ending to be open worlded with NPCs repeating the same shit. I would love to have an epilogue where I could walk the map while NPCs and companions have different dialogues but, just a satisfying conclusion would be enough. Sadly we didn't get it. I definetly want to play it again, but 100% will wait for DLC/Definitive Edition and mod the fuck out of it.
