So I just got to act 3, and have to this point not had a single possibility to romance Shadowheart except for after saving the Tieflings in act 1, where she basically said "I see what you're doing but Gale is more interested in you", and I talked to Gale about it, and everyone assumed I was in love with Gale until I finally had a scene with him allowing me to dump him.

But except for that one interaction with Shadowheart from the start, I've had no possibility of romance with her even though approval is at max. Is it lost forever? Are there specific conversation that if you mess up, the chance is lost forever? I've tried googling but I'm a bit afraid of clicking around and getting spoilers.
