Act 2 - Spoilers

So I’m currently at the end of act 2, I tried to do everything in order, doing the mausoleum & the gauntlet last. I’ve killed the boss of this act, and now I’m trying to get to the city (Ketheric and yes, I completely defeated him in both phases) but each time try to cross the bridge into the city, I get thrown in the mind flayer hideout. It says the army is still there even after they have began marching to the city.

What can I do to get past this? Do I need to start my game all over? Or just rest a few times?
