My hair has had significant diffuse thinning and recession in less than a year. Last spring I had no clue I was losing my hair. I knew my hairline was somewhat receded but it was a pretty normal Norwood 2 mature hairline. I always had a bigger forehead and higher hairline so I didn’t think anything of it. My roommate is a barber and he didnt think I was balding or anything through last winter or spring. I lost probably 40% of my density in the past year. Looking back to fall of 2023 and spring of 2024, there were some very early signs of thinning that I didn’t pick up on. I didn’t realize I was losing my hair until October this year. I have started finasteride, oral minoxidil, and topical minoxidil in the past 5 weeks. How common is growing a decent amount of hair back?
I’d say yes. Definitely give it a go
